Complete, Affordable Precision
One of the biggest limiters when it comes to new shooters venturing into the realm of precision shooting is cost. A new precision rifle often costs upwards of $4,000.00 and that is not including necessary equipment, and training costs. While it is true that the market has attempted to reduce this entry barrier, we believe it has come at the cost of distinctive accuracy. What is the purpose of a precision bolt rifle if it is no more accurate than a large frame AR pattern rifle, and sells for a similar price? At JTAC industries, we have taken our own approach to resolving this price problem though the introduction of our Crossbow rifle line. Crossbow rifles are produced with the same 5C rifled barrel blanks as our higher-end rifles, although with a slightly lighter 5-22/.780 profile, and come with an identical accuracy guarantee of ½ MOA with match factory ammunition. The barrels are finished at 22" standard and include muzzle threads in 5/8x24, providing useful flexibility when mounting suppressors or muzzle devices (thread protector included).
Controlling Price, Retaining Features
Our central objective with this rifle was to provide custom rifle accuracy at an affordable price. At the same time, we didn't want to "bare bones" any other aspect of the platform. To strike this balance, we chose to use the newly developed Magpul 700 Hunter stock. It provides a solid, forged aluminum bedding block, in which we set and hand bed the action just as we do with our high-end rifles. While the stock profile is no frills, it none the less provides multiple useful features to the shooter. The forearm, for instance, free floats the barrel and is designed with a flat bottom for easy support when shooting off of a railing or similar position. Among additional features are 3, 6, and 9 o'clock M-lok mounting positions, adjustable length of pull, available alterative height cheek rests, integrated ambidextrous sling loops, and Q.D. flush cup inlets.
The Other Bits
In the endeavor to keep costs down as we developed this rifle, we decided to obtain factory Remington 700 actions, and hone their critical dimensions to our internal specifications. This process produces actions that, while not as refined as our high-end actions, none the less, live up to our standards when it comes to accuracy and usability. Each bolt is hand lapped for a smooth action and comes with a Cerakote finish to resist corrosion, as well as, a larger bolt knob for easy manipulation. The rifle also includes a 3lb single stage or 2.5lb two stage (+$40) Timney trigger with a trigger blocking safety for safe and easing shooting. Finally we have included a durable Cerakote finish on both the barreled action and the bottom metal, in any single color currently available on our website. This coating, along with the four standard stock color options (Black, Magpul FDE, Magpul OD Green, and Magpul Stealth Gray) allow the creation of an individually unique rifle.

Complete feature list:
Blue Printed Remington 700 Action
Action is hand lapped to ensure smooth cycling, and all critical surfaces are blue printed to the barrel for proper fit.
1913 spec top rail has an integrated 20 MOA down angle.
22" 5C Rifled Barrel
Barrels are crafted Broughton blanks made from 416R Stainless Steel. They are pull button rifled and stress relieved five times throughout the production process. Then each barrel is hand lapped with a uniform land and groove diameter varying by no more than 0.0001" from breech to muzzle.
5C rifling (Canted Lands) provides higher muzzle velocities, increased bore hardness, and extended barrel life. Rifling twist rate varies with cartridge and caliber selection.
Available in either 3lb single stage or 2.5lb two stage configurations.
Every Timney trigger is made from a solid block of heat treated steel, so there's no connector bar to come loose.
