Very precise machining action fits nice and snug. this is one of the most comfortable chassis to shoot because the area above above the grip is nice and thin and gives space for your thumb to rest. chassis is awesome to set up for a pistol great for a little handy truck gun or if you want your deer gun to fit in a backpack. Thinking about picking up a second one in the future for a rifle build.

The machine work, attention to detail and fitment Of the elf owl are top notch, I highly reccomend this to anyone wanting a small, yet powerful package that can be stowed in a backpack, or under a truck seat for the perfect on the go pig slaying machine

  3. Alex Thompson

The machining on this product is top notch. There are a few points that missed the mark of a five star review though. I don’t think this item should ship with the standard configuration rear cover block, let’s face it 99% of the people that buy this will mount a stock or a brace, by making the rear cap optional it could save the end user some money. If you like running a scope as low as possible to keep this setup small you won’t be able to do it if you choose to have the stock. After mounting a rail and playing with different height scope rings I came to the conclusion That I needed 1.5 inch high rings (from the top of rail to center of ring.) Also in order to get the cheek riser in the correct spot I had to move it forward a set of holes. Leaving a row of holes exposed at the rear. Also with the stock collapsed the bolt handle rubs on the telescoping rods. It doesn’t effect the function so more of an observation than a problem. I installed a 6.5 grendel into my chassis and it fed flawlessly from the factory hogue stock and in the chassis the last 3 rounds drag coming out of the mag. I will have to play with some shims between the action and chassis to see if I can tune the issue out. So now that I got all of that out of the way. This is a quality product and I would not hesitate to buy it again, but I do think there is room for improvement. I would also like to see a 9 inch hand guard to add a little extra real estate to the forend.

After leaving my first review I was contacted by Joel from Jtac. They were not aware of the feeding issues with the 6.5 grendel case. He gave me the option of shipping the chassis back to them so they could fix the issue or walking me through how to fix it myself. I chose to let the pros handle it, so he sent me a shipping label and I boxed it up and I sent it back. They fixed the problem and had it back to me with a fast turnaround time. After putting it back together I checked function at my backyard range and it feeds like glass. Also I don’t want to spoil the surprise but keep an eye on these guys. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks again!

Very well built chassis. All of the tolerances have the right amount of tightness so all in all it feels solid and makes for a very fun shooter. The telescoping stock is a really great touch and is worth the extra spend. Compared to other similar stocks I’ve tried this one is much better. The chassis is very light but sturdy. When you pair it with a light weight barreled action you have an extremely light weight long range shooter.

Rock solid platform coupled with the Howa mini action, had a minor issue with fit, however, customer service was very responsive and on point to guide and rectify. Flawless finish. Proud to own, happy I went this route over the Czech trail…Super happy camper!!

The chassis and telescoping stock are excellent products, the fit and finish are perfect. The telescoping stock is the first one that I have used that is strong enough and stiff enough to be a real, usable, alternative to a folding stock. It is useful configuration, too, for stowing or carrying, compared to a folder. It maintains the width or thickness of the rifle, instead of doubling the width, as a folder does.

I put a 20″ 6.5 Grendel in the 14′ hand guard stock, and the rifle is a very nice size and it balances and carries well. The only improvement I can see would be a sling swivel hole at the front of the hand guard. (It has them at the rear of the hand guard.)

At this point, the 16″ 6ARC is on my next-gun wish list…
