Just like the Elf Owl this is a really well constructed chassis. It’s very light weight and is great for giving you a lot of options on a hunting or competition rig. It can be as light as you want or you could add weights and a heavy barrel for competition shooting. I think this size chassis is perfect for a 6 or 6.5 creedmoor. There aren’t a huge number of options for Howa actions out there and I’ve tried them all. This is one of the best chassis for Howa that I’ve found. I ended up putting a 6 creedmoor barrel into a howa short action for my screech owl and I love it.

Bought this for a Howa 1500 chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. The chassis fits the receiver flawlessly and offers great features! The mlok Rail is very sturdy and overall the chassis is very well constructed. I opted for the 1913 adapter to allow for a side folder stock, the bolt that holds it is super strong and doesn’t have any play after it’s torqued. The machining on these is 10/10! These are going to be my go-to chassis for any of my future builds. Definitely would recommend!

The Screech Owl is fantastic, pure and simple. I decided it would look great for a long, heavy-barreled precision build. Put my 24″ Howa in this and it came out great. I love the idea of rebarreling it to a thinner, shorter profile and completely changing it to a new gun. The 14″ handguard is great and they ensured it has plenty of room for different profiles of barrels. I went for the 1913 rail for the stock option and MacGuyver’d a Sig Cross stock on it. Works great. Don’t hesitate twice about getting this chassis. Love it

This is by far the best chassis option for a Howa 1500. Extremely high quality product and superior customer service. I threw this on my 16.25″ 6.5CM barreled action, paired it with the JTAC folding stock, and its perfect for hunting and target shooting. I cannot recommend JTAC enough.

Absolutely awesome quality! I paired the 14” handguard w/ a 16.25” Howa 1500 barreled upper and couldn’t be more impressed. The floating barrel is perfectly centered in the chassis. The sliding stock is way more compact and convenient than I imagined. Also Jtac has excellent customer service and was there to answer all my crazy questions along the way! The boys at the bachelor party were so jealous of this setup on its inaugural shoot.
